Projects

NaNoWriMo 2007 - The Devil's Day
On hiatus for more world-building and development, though the idea's still pushing through. I adore this story and don't want to abandon it. It's been in my head for four years and still hasn't died.

NaNoWriMo 2008 - Absolute Zero
The first draft is done, but I only like the concept. I think I might adapt the idea or characters into a different story. It might be novella or short story material.

NaNoWriMo 2009 - Shuffling ideas
I've got an idea in mind, but I'm going to be concerned about this until September or so.

DecNoWriMo
It's onto the small edits now! Woot!

Short Story Collection
I've got about three that look "survivable", and I want to start revision as soon as DecNoWriMo is finished.

School Stuff

College Essays
Once I sort out what colleges I'm applying to and look at their applications, I'll start drafting.
Deadline: Looking at applications - start drafting on about July 7th

College Portfolio
10-12 pages of work I've written for, well, anything. I'm positive I have enough even now, but I think I'll do some revision on the fiction I do in my free time. We'll see what they think of it.
Deadline: TBA

School Newspaper - Opening Issue
I'm not sure how many pages A&E will get this time, but our print issues'll be big this year and that means lots of articles. We're getting new writers during the year, but this issue will be done the week before school starts.
Deadline: TBA

So I went to the midnight showing of the latest Harry Potter movie.

THEY PLAYED A TWILIGHT TRAILER. EWW. The fangirls started screaming and I booed. But the fangirls were quiet during the movie, thankfully.

But anyway, the verdict for the movie? Awesome. Seriously, the films started getting crappy after Prisoner of Azkaban--I'm no canon purist, so book-to-movie adaption isn't a factor here. But seriously, even though they kind of glazed over the Half-Blood Prince issue, this movie was SO much better than the rest. It was completely hilarious, SLATHERED with sexual tension (to the point where it was over-the-top. You hear that, Ginny Weasley?), and dramatic at all the right moments.

And Voldemort! I swear, Tom Riddle was the CUTEST little munchkin ever. I said I wanted to be his mommy after the movie that night. That still stands! I'd raise him into a proper evil villain and call him Voldy-wobbles when he's off curfew fighting the forces of good. Bwah ha ha ha. And I'd totally date him as a teenager. Seriously, the flashbacks in the book bored me to death. They pulled them off so much better in the film.

And the FILM! Props for the director of photography and the effects people this go-around. Some of the magic looked a little fake, but the natural effects? Gorgeous. Loved when Harry and dear Dumbles went to the (epic!) cave.

More than that, the characters' emotions were very real, especially Hermione's. I recall acting exactly like her at every point in the movie, but J.K. Rowling did a good job with that in the book, too.

All-in-all, please go if you haven't seen it. I was disappointed with the last few movies, but certainly not this one.

sounds good, I'm going in two hours.

What do you want to go to college for?

--
Why can't we see that when we bleed, we bleed the same?
:iconzavi:
You should have fun, though this message is a little late now.

I want to go to college for Creative Writing/Zoology or any of the related programs--English or Environmental Science and such. I know a couple colleges with CW majors as well as Wildlife Biology programs, so it depends on where I go.

I still think you should call him Voldy-Woldykins instead. Wait, how can you date him as a teenager if you're his MOTHER?! You should reword or reeorganize that sentence, Missy.

It was a good movie. I'm getting annoyed with all the people freaking about the ending. Hey, I'm sorry, but they just shouldn't mess with me right now, if you catch my drift. So, STOP COMPLAINING, PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Yes, the seven exclamation marks were necessary.

Hope and Fall

Rose Weasley hopes for one simple thing: to get a job working for Draco Malfoy, the king of entrepreneurs. And what better way is there to get a job with him than by hooking up with his son? Rose/Scorpius
:iconzavi:
Hehe, I didn't mean for those two sentences to be related.

What are people saying about the ending?
:iconlizhollow:
It just sounded like it. Hehe!

SPOILERS below, people! If you don't already know, then... well, don't read further.

They're complaining about the lack of Dumbledore's funeral and the lack of battle. While the lack of battle kind of bothered me, and I didn't know this other piece of info until someone told me, the funeral's in the next movie. With a little research, people would know this.
